11U Crowned Champions at Mother’s Day Bat Bash in Bradley, IL

The Diamond Dogs 11U team delivered an exceptional performance at the 2025 Mother’s Day Bat Bash, held from May 9–11 at the Bradley Sports Complex in Bradley, Illinois. Competing in the highly competitive 11U OPEN division, playing against AAA and majors teams. The Diamond Dogs emerged as champions, showcasing cohesive team play.



Defensive Mastery: JJ Young’s Complete Game Shutout


A standout moment of the tournament was pitcher JJ Young’s complete game shutout in the championship match. Demonstrating precision and control, Young allowed only two hits throughout the game, effectively neutralizing the opposing team’s offense and setting the tone for victory.


Offensive Unity: Every Player Contributes


The Diamond Dogs’ offense was a collective effort, with every player in the lineup reaching base at least once during the championship game. This balanced approach kept the pressure on the opposition and highlighted the team’s depth and unity.


A Memorable Victory


Securing the 11U Open division title at a USSSA-sanctioned event like the Mother’s Day Bat Bash is a significant achievement. The tournament not only serves as a State and World Series Qualifier but also celebrates the spirit of youth baseball with unique touches, such as awarding pink bats to winners in honor of Mother’s Day.
